Safety Data Sheets provide workers and emergency personnel with procedures for handling or working with that substance in a safe manner, and includes information such as physical data (melting point, boiling point, flash point, etc.), toxicity, health effects, first aid, reactivity, storage, disposal, protective equipment, and spill-handling procedures. Â
What does this mean in simple English? Â If you are carrying chemicals in your commercial vehicle, trailer or on your person, you are to have the appropriate SDS available WITHIN ARMS REACH. Â Having this information allows first responders to appropriately treat the scene. Â While no one likes to imagine themselves in an accident, it is your responsibility that you follow Department of Transportation regulations as it relates to transporting chemicals. Â We suggest a simple binder with each of the applicable SDS placed in it. Â Label the binder. Â This is for your protection, for your employees/sub-contractors protection and for your business. Â
We've made it easy for you to get your SDS documents whenever they are needed. Just click on your product and download the attached file. Â If should need any help with an SDS, don't ever hesitate to contact us.
